In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Yaba Leo Club initiated festivities with a clean-up exercise at Yaba College of Technology on Saturday 25th of May 2024.

Despite challenging weather conditions, which saw a heavy downpour and wind, club members enthusiastically participated in the clean-up activity earlier today.

This event aligns with the upcoming World Environment Day on June 5, and reflects the objectives of Lions Clubs International to play a significant and consistent role in environmental and community affairs.

The club’s efforts focused on cleaning their host institution, Yaba College of Technology.

Club representatives reported that the clean-up exercise highlighted their commitment to environmental sustainability and community service.

Following the clean-up, Yaba Leo Club donated waste nylon bags to campus sweepers and emptied the previously donated waste bins for plastic recycling.

The club emphasized that this initiative underscores their dedication to maintaining a clean and healthy environment while celebrating four decades of impactful service. They expressed their intention to continue making a positive difference in the community through such initiatives.
