Ralphones Pharmaceuticals has teamed up with medical doctor and health influencer, Dr. Adefunke Arowolo, to raise awareness about hormonal health challenges affecting women across the country.
The partnership, announced in Lagos last Friday, will centre on Empill Woman, a supplement designed to help women manage hormonal imbalances while also supporting hair, skin, and nail health.
Speaking at the signing, Ralphones CEO and founder, Gregory Onuwabhagbe, said the collaboration is aimed at sparking open conversations about a health issue many women silently endure.
“Hormonal imbalance is at the root of many health problems women face in Nigeria. We are partnering with Dr. Adefunke who is a strong voice in healthcare to encourage women to speak up and seek solutions,” Gregory Onuwabhagbe said.
According to him, Empill Woman has already been in the market for up to two years, with positive feedback from users.
He explained that the supplement contains five active components, including maximum-strength evening primrose oil, gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), vitamin E, omega-6, and soya isoflavones – which is backed by clinical trials for its role in reducing breast cancer risk.
Dr. Arowolo, who educates many women daily on hormonal health through her social media handles, said she carried out due diligence before accepting the partnership.
“We have too many supplement companies making false claims. I asked for documentation, which they provided within an hour, and I also spoke to pharmacists who confirmed it’s a good product,” she said.
She noted that Nigeria’s current economic pressures are worsening women’s health, with stress, poor diet, and lack of self-care contributing to hormonal issues.
“Many women don’t even know they have hormonal imbalance. This partnership is about education, awareness, and giving them tools to improve their wellbeing,” she added.
The health influencer stated that part of the campaign will involve identifying women with conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), putting them on the supplement, and tracking their progress — a move Dr. Arowolo described as “a mini research project” that could provide valuable insights.
Both partners concluded that they hope the initiative would empower more women to understand their bodies, seek help early, and take charge of their hormonal health.
Also present at the ceremony were the CEO and founder of Boluke Pharmacy, Pharm. (Mrs.) Kemi Adeyeye; and the Founder of Goodall Pharmacy, Mrs. Rahamon Amidu Oyewole, who was represented by her staff, Omowunmi Oguntimehin.
